Kurnool, India

Early Monday morning the team headed to Kurnool to participate and teach in a leadership conference. They had two sessions at the conference. The first was tough with a new translator who was trying to get used to understanding Greg’s southern accent. The second session went much better! Overall it was a great conference.

Monday night they held a crusade. Members of the team shared testimonies and spoke. A lot of young people came up for prayer and make decisions to follow Jesus. The crowd was smaller than at the other town, but it was a great first night in the new city.

They also visited feeding programs in a slum. It was an emotional thing for many of the team members to see people, especially children, living in such terrible conditions. These programs literally help keep these people alive. Food and fresh water can be hard to come by in these areas, and disease is rampant. It’s a place that desperately needs the light of Jesus to shine!
